Created in 1928 as the Orlando Municipal Airport, the Orlando Executive Airport was the first commercial airfield in Central Florida. In 1940, the airport was renamed the Orlando Air Base and used as a training facility for 6 years. The airport’s main terminal was built in 1951 and it lasted until 1999. Nowadays, the airport is operated by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority and covers 1,056 acres. Considered to be the finest general aviation facility in Florida, the Orlando Executive Airport offers passengers the guarantee of a safe and comfortable flight.
