Orange County Historical Museum |

Located at 65 E Central Boulevard, the Orange County Historical Museum helps you travel through time and discover the secrets of the Orange County. If you wish to find out more about the cultural, social, political and economic history of the Orange County, this is definitely the right place to come. Every year, the Orange County Historical Museum presents two main exhibits and special exhibits every month. The museum was created in 1956 by the ladies in the Hillsboro Garden Club. It all started with a few items and now the museum proudly displays 1,500 artifacts. In 2001, the museum decided to include in its collection artifacts belonging to the native peoples of the Orange County. Many of the museum’s artifacts need conservation. You can now select, “adopt an artifact” and donate money for its conservation. The Orange County Historical Museum is open April through December from 11 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday and on Sunday from 1 pm to 4 pm. January through March, the museum is open from 12 to 3 pm Tuesday through Saturday and from 1 pm to 4 pm on Sunday. For more information, please call 4078368500. Admission is free. |
