Founded in 1940, the Catholic Barry University offers students 10 academic schools combining innovative and traditional methods. The university’s main campus was built in Miami Shores. Barry University is now sponsored by the Sisters of St. Dominic of Adrian and governed by a Board of Trustees. Through undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate programs, thousands of students try to attain excellence at Barry University, most of them succeeding. In Orlando, the Barry University School of Law offers high quality education in a religious dimension. After completing 90 hours of study every semester, and after having acquired professional responsibility, professional ethics, analytical, communication and writing abilities, the students’ hard work and dedication are rewarded with the Juris Doctor degree. The University also offers law students an extensive library. At the Barry University Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law Library, students may analyze legal treaties, legal materials, federal and state cases and statutes. Created to help students choose their path in life, the Office of Career Services offers career counseling services, on-line job search training and help with resume preparation, serving as an intermediary between students and employers. The Barry University School of Law also offers students the opportunity of gaining legal practice experience in part-time and full-time employment, in summer or year round. |
